My little girl loves playing with dolls. She nearly always has either a doll or a purse, and in the last couple months, she’s spent vast amounts of time tending to the needs of her little charges. She puts them to sleep, gives them bottles, changes their dirty diapers, and hauls them around under her arm. When I come upon her talking quietly to her dolls, she looks up at me shyly and it’s clear that I was interrupting some personal time!

That is so sweet.. oh my goodness. Wish I could pop over for a visit – I'd play dollies with her! 🙂
I work in the infant room at a daycare, and I loved watching one of the one-year-olds play with the dolls. She would pat it and sometimes hold it. It was also really amusing, though, when she would step on its head or sit on it.

Tiny Dolly is from Dawn, and I think she's been with us since last fall. Each of the dolls gets a lot of playtime. Doll, blanket, bottle. A sacred threesome.
