Our new balcony is the perfect place to attract our feathered friends.  Bryan got me two bird feeders for my birthday, and boy do we  see lots of birds!  So far our most common visitors are House Finches, European Sparrows, Doves, and the occasional Pidgeon.  I've seen Cardinals around but none have visited us yet.

It must be nesting season!  We've seen lots of courship activity, and these days we've seen what we think are fledgling chicks begging seeds from an adult.
